Born in 1949.

1967 – 1972 – student, Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR.

On the diplomatic service since 1972.

Career:

1972 – 1975 - duty referent, senior referent of the Embassy of the USSR in the Republic of Indonesia;

1975 – 1980 - Various diplomatic positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, USSR;

1980 – 1986 - Third, Second and First Secretary of the Embassy of the USSR in the Republic of Indonesia;

1986 – 1990 - Various diplomatic positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, USSR;

1990 – 1994 - Counsellor of the Embassy of Russia in the Republic of Indonesia;

1994 – 2000 - Senior Counsellor, Head of Section, Deputy Director of the Department – Executive Secretariat, Deputy Director of the General Secretariat (Department) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation;

2000 – 2005 - Ambassador of Russia to Malaysia and concurrently to Brunei Darussalam;

2005 – 2010 - Director of the Personnel Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation;

Since 2006 - Member of the Collegium of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

2010 – 2016 - Ambassador of Russia to the Commonwealth of Australia and to the Republic of Fiji, Vanuatu, Nauru and Tuvalu (non-resident).

2016 – 03.2017 - Adviser to Director General on international economic cooperation of the Joint-Stock Company “ROSGEO” (Russia).

From 2017 till present time - Vice-Chairman of the Business council for cooperation with Malaysia.

Awarded with state awards of the Russian Federation.

Speaks English and Indonesian.

Married. Has adult son and daughter.
