Weekly inflation in Russia geared down to 0.11% from April 4 to 10 from 0.13% a week earlier, the Federal Statistics Service (Rosstat) reported on Wednesday.

Inflation was 2.66% in annual terms as of April 10, 2023, according to statistics.
In the food segment, the rise in prices was 0.6% for mutton, 0.3% for sunflower oil, black tea, rice and vodka, and 0.2% for frozen fish, granulated sugar, and canned vegetables and fruits for infants. The price drop was 0.6% for buckwheat and wheat flour, 0.4% for sterilized milk and edible salt, 0.3% for pork, margarine and vermicelli, and 0.2% for chicken meat, canned meat for infants, butter and hen eggs.
Fruit and vegetables prices edged up by 0.3% in average over the week. Prices dropped by 1.1% for beet, 0.7% for carrots, 0.6% for potatoes, 0.4% for apples, and 0.2% for tomatoes. Prices had an upsurge at same time by 2% for cucumbers, 1.2% for bananas, and 0.2% for white cabbage.
Motor gasoline prices stayed flat and diesel fuel prices lost 0.1% in the reporting period, Rosstat said.
