Inflation in Russia slows down to 0.1% from March 26 to April 1

Since the beginning of April, consumer prices in Russia have increased by 0.01%, since the beginning of the year - by 1.87%.
Inflation in Russia from March 26 to April 1, 2024, slowed down compared to the previous week and reached 0.1%, according to the Russian State Statistics Service (Rosstat). A week earlier - from March 19 to 25 - the figure was 0.11%.
Since the beginning of April, consumer prices in Russia have increased by 0.01%, since the beginning of the year - by 1.87%.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development, annual inflation in Russia accelerated from 7.61% a week earlier to 7.62% from March 26 to April 1. "Inflation in the consumer market slowed down to 0.1%; the price growth rate year on year totaled 7.62%," the ministry said.
"In the food segment, the rise in prices decelerated to 0.07%. Price growth rates for foods, except vegetables and fruits, slowed down (0.12%); the price decline continues for fruits and vegetables. Inflation for non-foods remained at the last-week level during the reporting week. Prices changed by 0.24% in the services sector. Domestic airfare prices continued going down," the ministry reported.
