More than 30 countries have asked Russia to supply IVL devises

More than 30 countries have asked Russia to supply artificial lung ventilation devices, Deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Oleg Bocharov told reporters.
"We want to use this situation to enter international markets. We believe that we have everything to concentrate our capacity and potential-not only in the field of ventilators, but also other complex medical devices — and create a special program by the end of the year," he said, adding that the Ministry of Industry and Trade, as well as the Ministry of Economic Development and Rosstandart are ready to provide support.
According to Bocharov, enterprises are increasing the production of medical equipment, "as in the Great Patriotic war." Production is planned to increase eight times in April, 25 times in May, and 30 times in June.
The Deputy Minister added that a consortium of developers and manufacturers will be created based on the results of the scientific and technical Council for medical technology. Its task will be to create a line of domestic equipment in all critical areas based on a single digital platform.
Earlier, first Deputy Minister of industry and trade Sergey Tsyb told reporters that in April, Russia plans to produce 500 ventilators, in May — two and a half thousand, and in June-three thousand.
