Putin urges minimum number of state inspections of enterprises

He was commenting on a report by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko, who told the President and the government members on the progress of the state control reform.
Scheduled business inspections should only be related to preventing risks to people and the environment, Russian President Vladimir Putin reiterated on Wednesday.
"Scheduled inspections should be minimal and based on risk management. That means, they should be carried out at those enterprises where these inspections can and should prevent damage to life, health of citizens or the environment," the head of state said.
He was commenting on a report by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko, who told the President and the government members on the progress of the state control reform.
Putin also recalled that Russia is introducing a pre-trial system for appealing the results of inspections.
"It [this system] must be launched and start working effectively and on a large scale," the President stressed. He thanked the relevant departments for the work done in the framework of the control and supervisory reform.
"Dmitry Yuryevich, I very much hope that under your leadership, this will all be done within the time frame that we agreed on and will work effectively," the President told Grigorenko, who is in charge of this task.
