According to Alexander Novak, Russia is able to meet the target using Russian technologies.
Russia maintains plans to increase liquified natural gas (LNG) production by 80-140 mln tonnes envisioned by the energy strategy through 2035, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters, adding that the country is able to meet the target even using only Russian reduction technologies, thanks to the implementation of their development programs.
"We do not revise the LNG [production] target. We are dealing with delivering the results envisioned by our strategy even considering those will be Russian technologies. Consequently, a program for the development of Russian technologies has been passed, I am sure it will be implemented," he explained.
The latest version of Russia’s energy strategy suggests an increase in LNG production to 80-140 mln tonnes by 2035.
According to another document, the program for LNG development through 2035, the capacity of present projects equals 27.66 mln tonnes, of those being constructed - 21.3 mln tonnes, probable - 62-63 mln tonnes, possible - 25.2 mln tonnes, potential - 131.3-147.3 mln tonnes.
