Exit of international players not affecting Russian grain exports
Earlier, it was reported that Viterra, a leading international grain trader, intends to halt Russian grain exports and exit the country’s market.
Russian grain exports will not be affected by the exit of international traders from the domestic market, the Union of Grain Exporters said on its Telegram channel.
"The infrastructure and employees remain in Russia, meaning that neither [export-related] jobs nor volumes of Russian grain exports will be affected," the trade association said.
The Russian Ministry of Agriculture said earlier that it had received notification from the Russian subsidiary of US-based agribusiness giant Cargill regarding the latter’s termination of export operations in the Russian market.
Bloomberg then reported that Viterra, a leading international grain trader, intends to halt Russian grain exports and exit the country’s market.
