Bank of Russia sells foreign currency worth almost $70 mln with settlements on April 3
Sales of foreign currency on the domestic market with settlements on March 31 also totaled 5.5 bln rubles.
Russia’s Central Bank sold foreign currency worth 5.5 bln rubles ($69.17 mln) on the domestic market with settlements on April 3, according to data published on the regulator’s website on Tuesday.
Sales of foreign currency on the domestic market with settlements on March 31 also totaled 5.5 bln rubles.
The Finance Ministry said earlier that it would allocate 119.8 bln rubles ($1.5 bln) for sale of foreign currency from March 7 to April 6, 2023, with daily foreign currency sales equaling 5.4 bln rubles.
The Russian Finance Ministry resumed FX sell operations in the domestic FX market as part of the new fiscal rule mechanism on January 13, 2023. Purchase and sales transactions of foreign currency are carried out by the Bank of Russia on the domestic market in the currency section of Moscow Exchange in the ‘Chinese yuan-ruble’ instrument.
