Russian Railways expecting to roll out next-gen bullet train in 2027 — CEO

It will be completely Russian-made, said Oleg Belozerov, head of the company.
Russian Railways is continuing work on developing a next-generation, domestically built high-speed train, which it expects to be delivered in 2027, said Oleg Belozerov, CEO of Russia’s national rail carrier, on a broadcast by the Kultura (Culture) TV channel.
"We are currently building a high-speed train. As mandated by the president, we plan to have a next-generation high-speed train operational in 2027," Belozerov said.
The new bullet train will be completely manufactured domestically, the top rail executive said. To date, the train’s design and a detailed breakdown of its production stages have been developed.
"We are ready to build a high-speed rail system. We believe this is needed now. It’s time has come," he added.
