Russian Industry Ministry suggests setting fertilizer export quota

The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade suggested setting the mineral fertilizer export quota of 16.95 mln metric tons from December 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024.

"The draft regulation stipulates introduction of a quantitative limit (non-tariff quota) for exports of individual kinds of mineral fertilizers from the Russian Federation outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union for the period from December 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024," the explanatory note to the document reads.
Russia introduced the export duty on mineral fertilizers since January 1 and extended the quota for supplies overseas. The duty will stand at 23.5% in case the fertilizer price is above $450 per metric ton.
