Russia’s industrial production rises by 4.6% in January

According to statistics, Russia’s mining production in January increased by 0.8% in annual terms and production in manufacturing industries increased by 7.5%.
The volume of industrial production in Russia in January 2024 increased by 4.6% compared to January 2023, according to data from the Russian Statistics Service (Rosstat).
In January 2024, industrial production decreased by 19.3% compared to the previous month.
According to statistics, Russia’s mining production in January increased by 0.8% in annual terms and production in manufacturing industries increased by 7.5%.
In the industries providing electricity, gas and steam, figures in January increased by 4.6%, in the field of water supply, sanitation and waste disposal, production growth reached 3.5%.
The production of computers, electronic and optical products increased in January in annual terms by 54.6%, the production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers - by 50.2%, the production of furniture - by 34.1% and the production of finished metal products, except machinery and equipment - by 19.8%.
At the same time, the production of coke and petroleum products in Russia decreased by 4%, the production of metal ores - by 1.2%, and the production of other finished products - by 0.4%.
