Russia's AI industry ready to thrive with proper support, expert says

Artificial intelligence is a kind of mass media that communicates messages to users, giving answers to hundreds of thousands of queries daily, Ruslan Yunusov noted.
Russia is positioned well to develop its own artificial intelligence (AI) systems, advisor to the CEO of Rosatom state corporation Ruslan Yunusov told TASS.
"We have a good foundation," Yunusov noted. "As I said earlier, Russia is one of three countries in the world that has almost a full stack of IT technologies - Russia has its own search engines and everything else in place, something that cannot be said about Europe, for example. We have a good base for artificial intelligence as well. Yandex and Sber are working in this field. We need to support this, pay more attention to it," the expert said.
Artificial intelligence is a kind of mass media that communicates messages to users, giving answers to hundreds of thousands of queries daily, Yunusov noted. "From this standpoint, this is certainly mass media, albeit personalized. And this approach should be regulated," he added.
