Russia ready to scale up coal supplies to China — Novak
Despite the entire climatic agenda, coal will still remain for a long time as an energy resource to support needs of growing economies, the official noted.
Russia is ready to boost coal supplies to China, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said at the Sino-Russian cooperation forum.
"I absolutely agree. We supplied about 100 mln metric tons of coal to China last year and this potential is not exhausted. We are also ready to ramp up volumes of supplies by rail transport, marine transport, and also via border crossings and seaports," he said.
"It seems to me that despite the entire climatic agenda, coal will still remain for a long time as an energy resource to support needs of growing economies," Novak added.
