Partnership with BRICS to help Malaysia boost tourist flow — envoy to Russia

According to Cheong Loon Lai, countries are aiming to strengthen economic ties by joining BRICS as partners.
Malaysia believes that its partnership with BRICS could significantly boost tour-ist inflow to the country, the nation's ambassador to Moscow Cheong Loon Lai told TASS.
When asked if the partnership would lead to an increase in the number of Russian tourists visiting Malaysia, the diplomat responded, "I think yes. It will contribute to the development of various economic sectors, including tourism."
According to the diplomat, countries are aiming to strengthen economic ties by joining BRICS as partners. "Of course, this will contribute to the growth of tourist traffic between both countries," he added.
After the BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the group had agreed on a list of its partner countries, although their names were not disclosed. In the initial phase, invitations would be sent to these nations, and announcements would be made once a positive response is received.
