Safety level of Aeroflot flights reaches 99.977% in 2024
CEO Sergey Aleksandrovsky stressed that there are no problems with aircraft maintenance.
The safety level of Aeroflot Group flights in 2024 reached 99.977%, the company's CEO Sergey Aleksandrovsky said in an interview with Rossiya-24 TV channel. According to him, in 2023-2024, one incident accounted for an average of 5,730 flight hours, which is a record figure since 2017.
"The safety level of Aeroflot in 2024 reached 99.977%. In 2023 the figure was 99.973%, that is, almost comparable values. This year, in 2024, we have even slightly improved this figure," he said.
Aleksandrovsky stressed that there are no problems with aircraft maintenance. "Yes, it has become more expensive. Yes, in some ways it has become longer. But from the point of view of the maintenance fund we absolutely have all the necessary units, components, and spare parts. We have the largest hangar capacities and we are one of the leading companies in aircraft maintenance," the Aeroflot chief added.
