Forward-looking indicators point to cooldown signs in Russian economy

Growth is not across-the-board anymore, Maxim Reshetnikov noted.
Leading indicators point at signs of a cooldown in the Russian economy, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov said in the State Duma, the lower house of the Russian legislative assembly.
"In general, as you know, the economy continued growing last year. At the same time, we now see the signs of its cooldown, especially when we consider forward-looking indicators," the minister said.
Growth is not across-the-board anymore, Reshetnikov noted. "For example, we have growth rates slowing down in certain sectors. The volume of orders with the business is contracting; the monetary policy is becoming tougher," he added.
