The compulsory share of Russian wine in restaurant menus and the store product mix may be increase further on from 20% planned at present as the wine industry develops, Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Roman Chekushov told reporters.
"We certainly suggest starting here from more moderate volumes, to see how it will work. We can increase this percentage certainly as the wine sector evolves. I think, among other things, that Russian wine is capable to achieve the required market share through its own quality characteristics. We are talking on and discussing the 20% volume so far," the official said.
