Rosoboronexport order portfolio with Africa accounts for 30% of its total export volume
The current order portfolio of Rosoboronexport (a subsidiary of the Rostec State Corporation) with African countries accounts for about 30% of the total volume of signed contracts, the Russian state arms exporter’s CEO Alexander Mikheyev said ahead of the third Russia-Africa Summit, which will be held in Moscow on October 28-29.
Rosoboronexport sees Africa as one of the world’s most promising regions for the development of military-technical cooperation. The current order portfolio with African countries accounts for about 30% of the company’s total signed contracts. "Russia is helping Africa strengthen its defense capabilities and effectively counter all modern security threats and challenges, and our partners view Russia as a guarantor of their security," said Mikheyev, quoted by Rosoboronexport’s press service.
The company CEO noted that, in addition to supplying modern weapons, Rosoboronexport is actively developing military-technological cooperation projects that contribute to the growth and modernization of the national industries of African countries.
