Delegation of the Russian Business Council for Cooperation with Malaysia visited Malaysia on February 11-19, 2014.

The visit, initiated by the Russian side and fully supported by Malaysian side, was aimed at the strengthening and development of the direct contacts with leading Malaysian government and private companies and bodies, specializing on science and technology.  

During the meetings and negotiations with Malaysian side, the Business Council presented its new approaches to developing Russian-Malaysian business, search for advanced forms and new ways of mutually beneficial bilateral business cooperation.

Two sides reached an agreement to form packages with different programmes for bilateral cooperation and real projects that might be interesting for both Malaysian and Russian side to commercialize and develop.

Sides also agreed on regular exchange of contacts and points of view to fulfil the outlined initiatives with real ideas, that will be discussed on the Russian-Malaysian Science and Technology Forum, that will take place in Kuala Lumpur on October 27-28, 2014.

To carry out those tasks and to coordinate with Malaysian side in the science and technology sector, a Committee for science and technology cooperation was established under the auspices of the Business Council.
