Meeting with WIEF Secretary General, Tan Sri Dato' Ahmad Fuzi.
Deputy Chairman of the Russian Business Council for Cooperation with Malaysia Vladimir Morozov has paid a courtesy call to the Secretary General of World Islamic Economic Forum, Tan Sri Dato' Ahmad Fuzi on September 8, in the framework of his working visit to Malaysia.
They exchanged views on the current state of Russian-Malaysian relations and discussed the forthcoming World Islamic Economic Forum, that will take plave on November 21-23 in Kuching, Sarawak. According to Tan Sri Dato' Ahmad Fuzi, Russia's active participation in major events like WIEF creates a good base for further improvement of understanding between Russia and Islamic countries. As for Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur is interested in cooperation and exchange of views on the most topical issues, that the Islamic world is currently facing: combating terrorism and islamic integration - mentioned Tan Sri.
Major attention was paid to cooperation of Islamic businesses and growing halal industry, that now gains extensive development. Sides expressed desire to host joint events on respective agendas both in Malaysia and in Russia.
